75 REYHER employees took part in the Hamburg Commercial Bank RUN 2019 last Saturday, 22 June. A total of 640 teams with 18,226 participants helped in the 4 km long run through the Hamburg HafenCity to receive a donation of 134,000 euros.
As part of the "To the Clubs, Kids" project, the funds enable children and young people from financially weaker Hamburg families to go to sports clubs. The donation run, until last year under the name HSH Nordbank RUN, took place for the 18th time. Since the first running event, the total donation sum has added up to more than € 1.85 million.
A highlight this year: At 9 o'clock, the legendary cruise ship "Queen Mary 2", which had just docked in the HafenCity, blew its famous deep horn as the starting signal and sent the first team consisting of over 300 children and adolescents into the race. The donation run was broadcast live on TV on the local station "Hamburg 1".
