What would a cycling race be without a yellow jersey? At the ‚EuroEyes Cyclassics Hamburg 2019‘ there were actually 19: For the first time the racing team REYHER started on Sunday, 25th of August.
The Cyclassics have been "the Hamburg cycling race for professionals and everyone" since 1996 and have long since achieved cult status in the metropolis on the Elbe River. This year, in addition to the pros, 15,000 ‚everyones‘ entered the race on three different routes in and around Hamburg with a length of 60, 100 and 160 km respectively. More than half a million spectators, according to the organizers, cheered on the drivers along the way and helped them with drinks and food.
In the ‚60km company evaluation‘ our team REYHER, consisting of 19 drivers, archived the sixth place.
The subsequent professional race Cyclassics Pro over almost 217 km won - for the third time - the 30-year-old Italian Elia Viviani.
