REYHER presented a new mobile data acquisition terminal for the order entry of Kanban orders at the Hannover Messe 2018. With its Android operating system and high-resolution 5" display, the barcode scanner for the ROM - REYHER Order Management provides more convenience and flexibility in C-part management.
ROM customers can use the handheld to capture orders with as many items as they want. The android based interface together with the sharp, easy-to-read display facilitates intuitive handling with large keys, which can be used when wearing protective gloves that are often used in production and logistics, or with wet hands. For more convenience the virtual scan head can be placed in many positions on the user interface. By touching the corresponding button and authorizing by password query, the order triggering via mobile communication is transmitted directly to the REYHER server.
To make use of the portable data terminal as ergonomically as possible, REYHER adds an alternative to the hand strap to ensure good handling, using a pistol grip that can be triggered, with a button, by the index finger. It is just as easy to use for both right and left-handers. The operating instructions are available as a PDF document on the device.
The hardware used is the industrial-grade Honeywell hybrid ScanPal EDA50 with state-of-the-art mobile technology. Durable Corning Gorilla Glass and IP54 protection ensure robustness in everyday industrial use. For charging, the scanning device can be plugged into a supplied charging station.
