Formula Student

Formula Student (FS) is the largest competition for engineers worldwide, with over 500 teams taking part. Every year the aim of the competition is to design, create, and test a racing car and then compete in events in different countries at the end of the season.

Victory ultimately goes to the team, which presents the best overall package of design, financial planning, sales arguments and performance on the racetrack, to the experts from the automotive, motor sport and supplier industries.

REYHER regularly supports teams from various universities with fasteners, including:

The Bee Hive

"Protect bees - Secure the Future" is the motto of the joint initiative of Bien-Zenker, supplier of prefabricated houses, and its partner companies. In view of global bee mortality and the general decline in insect diversity, the Bien-Zenker initiative has set itself the goal of attracting companies to protect bees in particular and biodiversity in general. The participating companies transform their fallow land and other properties into bee pastures or set up bee meeting places and encourage their employees and customers to deal with the topic of sustainability. As a pilot project, a meeting place for one million bees was built on the company premises of Bien-Zenker in Schlüchtern in the Main-Kinzig county, in Hesse.

Culture raft ‘Sloop’

The non-profit association for mobile activities is a group of Hamburg volunteers and refugees, which has jointly realized the project ‘Sloop - the raft for Hamburg’. A space has been created on the water for art and culture. The raft is a charitable meeting place for all and is run not-for-profit.

The sloop took four months to build at Peute in 2017. It is 15-metres-long, 5-metres-wide and powered by two outboard motors. The floats were welded by the members.

Since spring 2017 regional cruises and activities in various formats such as cinema, theatre and concerts on board have been organized. The sloop’s berth is in Wilhelmsburg in Hamburg.

Every single screw that was installed in the sloop comes from REYHER.

Schwarzenbek Railway Fans

Friends of the Schwarzenbek model railway association in Schleswig-Holstein is the largest of its kind in Germany. The association was born of an idea from a community of N scale (1:160) model railway enthusiasts. Within a few years, a digitized system was created by a group of regulars and community craft evenings. Around 100 metres of track was built for the transportable model railway. In addition, other systems were added later for the conventional HO scale (1:87).

REYHER has contributed lock screws for the construction of these model railways.
